This was a great wine! We had the 2007 Meritage* from Paso Robles, California which is a combination of these 5 different grapes:
- 60% Cabernet Franc
- 27% Merlot
- 11% Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1% Malbec
- 1% Petit Verdot
Bonus points...there is a drinking song on the back of the bottle:
*Meritage is a word used to distinguish wines that are made in the style of Bordeaux but without infringing on that region's legally protected appellation

Though this one was a bit on the pricy side I did enjoy it but not enough so for it to crack my Trader Joe's Top 10 Wine List. That said I hope they bring the Franc Merlot back sometime soon, still wondering if there is a conspiracy theory there somewhere...
Wow, the Franc Merlot sounds great! We will have to keep an eye out for it.
Thanks for the tip
I read that this wine might be even better in a few years so we bought a few more bottles and going to let them age a bit more.
Do you think this one might be better with age?
It may become slightly more integrated but I wouldn't expect any major changes. That said, it will drink as well as it is now for another 3 years or so IMHO
