Why Trader Joe's, Why?

I don't remember where I first read about organic foods at Trader Joe's being in plastic but I can't get it out of my head.  I recall Firefly telling me about it but I guess at the time, I didn't think much about it.  However, now that I know about stores such as the packaging free store, it really is starting to bother me.

What do you think?  Have you noticed this as well?

I do prefer Whole Foods, where I can use the produce and bulk foods bags I got from Etsy. But TJ's is less expensive, which has to be a consideration for us.

Still, I try to get beans, lentils, and rice at WF. Then I store them in Mason jars at home. I also try to buy the out of plastic produce at TJs wherever possible. It would be nice if they'd stop packaging like that. But at the same time, TJs does a lot to make organics more accessible to people who wouldn't normally consider the change... and that has to be worth something.

I wish Whole Foods was cheaper as well, I know we would shop there a lot more if it was.

Do you have a link you can post about the Etsy produce bags? Morgan and I are trying to find a way around the little plastic bags we get when we shop WINCO's bulk bins.

I think it is crazy that they are putting so much of the organic produce in plastic. When someone goes to the trouble and expense of buying organic we do NOT want to have to buy it in plastic.
I won't buy it.
